Confessions 2  − 9 April, 2008

Who is the person you admire the most (still living) ?
A woman I do volunteering with. Simple, beautiful and very resilient. A softie too. She was raped when she was a teen and her mother didn't believe her, she lived lots of painful stuff. However she seems very together and grounded.

Do you have a favorite author ? A book that has inspired you ?
I read one or two books every week. I must say that I have not been this enthusiastic about a comic strip since Le P'tit Spirou, I loooove Les Nombrils ! It's funny ! The story of three girld that are BFF in high school but two of them are such bit**** to the third one. Realistic.
I love the Lucy Maud Montgomery books, re-reading them every few years since I was 10. And I really love Anna Gavalda's novels, they just break my heart, it's so real !

Do artists have a social responsibility ?
I think everyone who is in the public eye has a social responsibility. Not towards adults but towards kids and teens. They look up at celebrities.

Do you have an unspoken desire ?
To be rich enough to buy designer clothes ? To get rid of my veins on my legs ? To lose 20 pounds ? To find a magical way to get rid of cellulite forever ?
I would like to travel the world. And find the most perfectly fitting bra ever.

The craziest thing you have ever done ?
The craziest thing I do is apply for a job I know nothing about and get it. Happened two-three times. Last time, I left a job for a contract that would last maybe a month or two.

Three things you have accomplished and are the most proud of ?
Getting into therapy. Renting an apartment alone. Putting a bit of money aside.

Something really important to you and everyone finds ridiculous ?
My Martha Stewart magazines.

When you look in the mirror, what do you see ?
Beautiful hair color (natural). The start of a double chin and belly fat. Great shoulders and neck.

The person you would have liked to meet ?
My paternal grandmother. She was the woman of steel.

Your slogan ?
Better be alone than in bad company.
When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us. - Alexander Graham Bell
The best way to have what you want, is to want what you have.

What other profession would you have liked to practice ?
Author. The others, I have done.

If you could change something in your appearance or personality, what would it be ?
10 pounds lighter, smaller boobs, no more veins or cellulite...maybe if I just buy a great bra and new clothes, all of this need to change will disappear ?
I would change the way I am with people : very prudent, not demonstrative, don't get attached...

Are you wise ?
No

Complete the sentence : "I will be satisfied when..."
I don't feel pain anymore and feel lighter, calmer.

What will you do next ?
Continue my therapy, eat well, go to the gym and try to drink more water. Oh and take an appointment in phlebology.
