Off we go into hyperspace.
Today, we officially put our house on the market.
Our realtor came highly recommended. She presented herself as very professional and knowledgeable; when the meeting was over, we felt pretty confident.
Still, it's a scary world out there. All we hear on the news is gloom and doom.
And the reality is this: yesterday was it. This is no longer our house. The moment of transition came and went. Tick, we're here. Tock, we're not here.
Lorien would be proud.
I will miss this place. I'm not sure if I'm ready to write the eulogy for our time in Gainesville just yet. But definitely the coins are on the eyes.

I have lived in Florida longer than I've lived anywhere else. My dad was in the Marines; we moved around. Funny thing is, everyone asks where my hometown is. In a way, I feel it's home when I go to places like Camp Blanding. The worlds I have known have all moved on, one way or another; you really can't go home again. I guess the key is to make a home wherever you find yourself.
