Elementary Reading/ Writing  − January, 1997

As an elementary student I was a fast learner, and was able to read as well if not better than the other students in the class because my grandmother would help me read and write when she would watch us.  She would sit down and not only let me read a book to here she would correct me if I was wrong or could not pronounce the word correctly.  My grandmother would also  make me write things to her like a letter.  If she could not read it she would ask what it was supposed to be and tell me how to write it more legibly.

OK, sorry, this has nothing to do with your post, but the "Ads by Google" right below this comments box are: "Woman On Toilet: Woman stuck as skin grows around toilet!" and "Baby born at 17 pounds"! Usually these Google ads are somehow based on other things on the page. I don't know what in your story could possibly have caused Google to put these ads on your page!
