Beautiful Way to Start the Workday − 7 May, 2008
Today's flex day, woo hoo! Could there be a more beautiful way to start the day than by going to your favorite café for your favorite pastries and a killer cappuccino? How about the vibrance of the small town city atmosphere? Walking back to your car, you pass a mommy brigade of three, and a solitary daddy brigage (can that be called a brigade?).
Driving back home, a beautiful song on the radio fills you with joy, as you watch the petals from the budding trees swirl on the street in a breeze which portends rain. The only reason you have driven is so that you can carry your husband's ancient trunk, which had been his grandfather's, to the locksmith, an *old* style shop which must have originated in the early part of the 20th century. You have accidentally locked his favorite camp chair in the trunk, not realizing that there is no key!
At home, your dog is only too happy to see you, since it means companionship and that the door to the screened-in porch will be open to let the breeze and the calls of the songbirds in. You caress her enthusiastically until she is wiggling and writhing with pleasure.
You've got a gnarly coding problem to solve, so yes, you've kind of been putting it off. But the time has come to sit down and face that problem head on. So much depends on it!

Flex time sounds fabulous! I am so jealous. I am a 8-5 girl no matter what!
