3000  − 29 May, 2008

Yep.  Today I checked my numbers.  So far, my four albums on Jamendo have 3,000 downloads total.

As always, it's easy to say, but hard to believe.

Anyway, on Wordpress, I've been writing up the background stories on the songs on the most recent album, Points of Departure. Today I handled one I've been avoiding: "Casualty of the Battle of the Bands."

It was a time I lost faith in myself.

Here history hits another snag, another fork in the road -- a Point of Departure.  I can see myself reading this at some time in the future.  I can't tell anything about what I'm doing.  Scary stuff.  I have to stumble through the maze of time, like every other rat that's ever scented the cheese at the end.

Thanks for the reminder -- I haven't downloaded "Points of Departure" yet. Oh, and that 3000 number? Imagine if you factored in all the off-Jamendo file copies, CD burns for family and friends, etc...
