Rainy evening  − 3 June, 2008

I love a rainy evening in summer, especially when the rain comes down hard. Everything seems greener, lusher, cozier.  Rain gives me a reason to stay in, which gives me an excuse to watch a movie. It also makes me appreciate my screened in porch. I can read "outside" if I want to, with the breeze caressing my skin, and the smell of wetness in my nostrils. The sound of the rain interleaves with birdsong. People and cars make splashing noises. Rain brings life to my garden. Rain brings life to us all.
