Decisions, Decisions − 2 June, 2008
For well over a year now, my wife and I have been talking off and on about the possibility of going back overseas for a few years. Lately, we've really been jonesing to travel, but mostly have just talked about the possibility and what we would and wouldn't do. Every now and then I look at the job postings to see what's out there (and other overseas locations), but there hasn't been anything open in my field for over six months.
Today I received a notice that there are TWO positions open in my field in England. I almost dismissed the e-mail, since the position titles looked the same as the dime-a-dozen crap ones that are always coming out. For some reason I went to the job posting database and read the descriptions. The jobs were identical, and the description was like they used my resume to write it -- these damn jobs were tailor-made for me (and believe me, that's odd).
So, now it's decision time. What to do, what to do... So many things to consider, so many pros, so many cons.
Just because it's a good decision to be faced with, doesn't make it any easier.
