Road Trains − July, 2000
I had never heard of a road train prior to coming to Australia. It's a semi truck pulling a stupid number of trailers down the highway. At highway speeds. And, yes, they seriously call it a road train.
The first time I saw one, it was parked at a gas station. I was speechless.
The next time I saw one, it was blowing by us on the highway at warp speed. I about shit my pants.
Aussies are fucking nuts. I can't believe people actually drive these things. The momentum behind one at highway speeds... no wonder we've been told to "just get out of the fucking way if you meet one on the highway."

It varies. Could be as little as 3 or as many as 6 (or more). Go to images.google.com and search for "road train". I took pictures of some but can't seem to find them.
