Biked Flynn's Grave to Simpson's Gap − September, 2000
We loaded the bikes up on the Rav4 and headed out in search of a good ride for the day. We ended up parking at Flynn's Grave and biking the trail out to Simpson's Gap. Flynn's Grave, incidentally, is the resting place for the ashes of Reverend John Flynn, founder of the Flying Doctor Service.
The trail is nice, wide, and well-maintained. And at not quite 10 miles, it's just a damn good ride. Gorgeous scenery the whole ride, and cooling off at Simpson's Gap before the return trip was great. Even spotted a few rock wallabies hiding among the rocks.
There are so many good trails to hike and bike around Alice Springs, it's disgusting.
