Missed My Brother's Wedding − 8 September, 2001
One of my brothers got married today back in Colorado. We didn't make it back for the wedding; we couldn't afford the airplane tickets. Shit, we couldn't even afford one ticket.
So we have come to the first down-side of living overseas -- missing the big family events back home. This sucks. My wife and I had talked about things like this before we left the States, but until you're actually in the situation, it doesn't really seem that important.
