What is the cutest way to propose? − 30 June, 2008
Okay I am not getting married ! We have only known each other a week and a half !
But I saw that "question of the day" on a website and I was thinking...
Although being asked in public is embarrassing (what if you said NO?!) :
On interphone in public transportation while going to work. Or on the subway billboard.
At work in front of everyone
At a party, up on the table
While doing karaoke night
At the movies, on the screen
If you work in a skyscraper, on the window washer's elevator
Not on one knee or by hiding the ring in dessert but :
After winning a volleyball match (hockey, softball...) on the spur of the moment
While visiting churches
During a whale or dolphin sighting
When looking at the stars or if you can't see stars because you live in a big city, at the planetarium
After saving them from : flies, bees, a snake, crocodiles, the parents, a runaway train
By putting the "Will you marry me" request in their lunchbox, wallet, as a bookmark in the novel they're reading
On local cable
During weather report
By asking their favorite author to email them the request...or favorite singer
In a fortune cookie !!
By going by on the garbage truck
Attaching the special not around the dog's collar or the cat's collar
If you have kids, by telling them to ask the other parent
In your updtae status on Facebook
Do you have others ?

I like the fortune cookie idea! I was proposed to at sunrise on an island off the coast of San Diego. The sun rose over the city and we were alone in a romantic little park drinking mimosas. Not bad huh?

Dang. Cool points to your husband for that one, Emily. Well, if your significant other is a space geek (sorry honey, you know you are), then someplace like Stennis Space Center can work out well. From my experience (if one time counts as experience), just getting up the nerve to ask is impressive enough.
