I would like to enjoy My Present, the Honeymoon phase − 7 July, 2008
Things are evolving, things are natural and easy.
But being a pisces he is quite prone to dreaming...which means we not only have two kids, a three-story house, a pool, a garden, multiple investments and we have won the lotto. And he has already told me he could see himself marrying me.
It would be time to squash all of it, or run away. But I have learned that all guys I have met had a similar tendency to dream like this. So I smile and nod and sometimes participate...like "I don't see myself in a house right now, we have no money, let's plan this before buying a 1.5 million dollar home on a whim".
And I insist that I need a cat in my life. To which he responds that I won't need one, I'll have him and the kids. AH !! I insist. He wants us to wait until "the kids" are older...we'll see.
Oh and in his mind, we live together in a couple of months. Hmmm. We'll see. Before that I want to make sure he doesn't completely drown in debts, he does what he says and he can change the color of his living room (4 walls and ceiling drak green, quite dreary in winter) oh, and, I want to assure myself that he can take care of himself. This weekend he had no money to go to the launderette...he goes when he NEEDS to which meant he did his washing at my place. it took TWELVE hours. NEVER AGAIN.
He is nice and funny and affectionate. He doesn't mind when I don't talk much, he likes to cook (unfortunately he eats out a lot, that's where the money goes).
I can say that it's the first time in a very, very, veryyyyyyyy long time that I am living the honeymoon stage of a relationship. I didn't think it was possible anymore. I was ready to wear a reindeer jumper to go to a curry buffet, take up knitting, adopting a dozen cats, live alone and single forever.
