Moving Day − 11 July, 2008
This is the day! The movers are here schlepping, the 53' foot truck is here getting loaded. It's official! There is no going back now. What a weird feeling. I knew this day would come but, now that it is here it is a little out of body. I don't think until we pull away in our car tomorrow at 5:30 am that it will finally sink in.
Trevor (cat) is hiding in the closet hoping that these strangers will leave his house any minute. I am hiding in the bedroom with Trevor trying to stay out of the way. Plus one of the movers gives me the creeps. Ladies you know what I am talking about.
Chicagoland here we come!

The weird part will be when you are mid trip, and realize you're cut off from everything familiar. Don't panic; you've still got each other. That's the great leveler.

Thank goodness for that! I think our screaming cat will keep us grounded too :)
