Blabbermouth, Redundanto, Cloud of Doom and Bitchybitchbitch − 27 August, 2008
Let's call him Blabbermouth. Talks about toilet, diarrhea, about what he eats and drinks and does when he's home, talks about his sex preferences...It's no wonder I dream about lobotomizing him. Silence is supposed to be golden. I sure wish really hard *mouth pursed, eyes closed shut, hands clenched on one another* that silence would settle on his chest, enter his nostrils and mouth and gag him.
Phew. A bit morbid and violent aren't I.
At work I'm stuck between Blabbermouth who won't shut up, Redundanto who always says the same thing, and Cloud of Doom who is negative and sees the worse.
I would call myself Sarcastica or Bitchybitchbitch. I try not to enter their game. I keep up an appearance of tolerance. But when I get home I moaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.
It used to be quiet, serene. Guess all good things must end.

How miserable! You can't possibly get any meaningful work done in that environment!

At my place of employment, there are many resources to help employees deal with difficult situations. I know that where I work, I could get help, or at least advice about a situation like this. Maybe your place of employment has similar means of support. You should not have to put up with inappropriate behavior from your colleagues. Where I work, such resources are not related to your boss or your office, and they treat matters confidentially, unless of course, intervention becomes necessary.

We have that too but before going there I prefer trying a few things like talking to my boss to see if he has ideas. And I talk to my therapist to see if she has suggestions. If it gets too out of hand, I'll go get help at work.
