Bought the Mini  − 1 March, 2003

After much debate, I actually bought a new car. It was my silver Mini. I'd been loocking for about two years, ever since the divorce. I'd looked at the Lexus LS series, then the hybrid Honda Civic (not the Toyota Prius) and even looked at the new Honda Accord. I ended up on the Mini just because I was feeling it. It still gets good gas mileage compared to the Lexus and Honda Accord. And it has a killer sound system. Extended the warranty. Got the sport package. Lo Jack is installed. And the service plan is great - they even pay for a rental when you need to take it in for servicing. What's more is I purchased it for less than market value at the time. It should keep its value in the long run too. Not sure I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that one. Just seems like a lot to worry about for a car you might never sell.

No photos? Did you get the silver one w/ black stripes?

My wife wants a Mini and I must admit that I'm hankerin' for one, too. If only they made a hybrid version!
