I was in the Peace Corps teaching English from 1992 to 1994.
This is such a huge segement of my life to leave it just with those 12 words. Many of the things I am today, I am because of my experiences in the Peace Corps, like:
* I got interested in hypertext writing by reading a Wired article in my Tashkent apartment.
* I learned about my reaction to fear while living there.
* I fell in love with naan - and at one point was the only thing I ate.
* I learned that I am not a good teacher - at least not straight out of college I wasn't, maybe I'd be better now.

Love this post, Jenn. Very clean and simple. And so true! Peace Corps leaves such an indelible mark on you. I've often wondered if my impact on my host country (Burkina Faso) was anywhere near its impact on me.
