When Jean, the Web Design Guide left, there was a bit of a flurry at About. The editors and staff weren't sure they still needed or wanted two separate sites on the topic (namely Web Design and my site HTML/XML). After some discussion, they decided to merge the two sites and I became the Web Design/HTML Guide at About.com.
