Lost for words - Terrorism

I remember hearing the 'rumor' while I was sitting at my desk at work. I quickly jumped onto CNN find out more. Within seconds our network connection dropped to zero. We all got up & turned on the TV in the conference room. To our horror we saw one of the towers burning. Shortly after we saw an explosion emitting from the second tower. From that particular angle, we couldn't see what had happened. For the rest of the workday we stayed glued to the TV. It didn't really set in until after I got home...

We spent the evening watching the news. By 8pm or so my wife gave up, & moved on to something else. I, on the other hand, could not. I felt it was my civic duty to stay and watch the horror.

It was 11pm and time for me to go to bed. The day's craziness was still going on, but I couldn't take anymore. I turned off the TV & fell to my knees. I sobbed & prayed for the families involved.

I still could have no real idea the extent with which our nation our world has been effected.
