Coincidence: Reid Carr & Hotel − 30 July, 2006
One day after we signed (but not closed) our deal with AOL, I bumped into my old employee Reid Carr. He and I had a bit of a rocky exit at my last company - where he had left to start Red Door - where he has now been extremely successful.
Ironically the previous time I had seen him was at the conclusion of my old company PBJ Digital, and now I bumped into him 5 years later completely randomly at the conclusion of my entrepreneurial days at Userplane.

I'm not sure, what is up with the coincidence in the titles of some of your "stories?" Is it something you are going to expand later?

I actually went from PBJ to go to McQuerterGroup to start their interactive division called the iGroup. I was there a couple years before I started Red Door. I agree that the departure was pretty bizarre and a story worth telling.
That was crazy running into you at Estancia that day. It was nice seeing you as a family; it had been too long. We were there for a poolside birthday party that Amy put together for my 30th (a story I've Dandelife'd here).
