Left High School  − 15 June, 1991

I remember thinking how cool it would be to graduate. We were all going to be naked under our gowns- but we all chickened out, we thought the cap and gowns would be cool- they were hot as hell.

The cool part of graduation was when Kevin Fruck, Kerry Widdoss and I played a trumpet solo with the underclassmen band. I convinced the band director (name changed) Morsdon Lung, to give us a solo on graduation since he screwed me on the senior Spring Concert. It's a whole other story and you can read it in "My Band Director was Evil"

The song itself probably was crappy, like most high school band things, but it seemed cool at the time. The song was a duet, but I arranged a third harmony for Kevin since there were three of us. I didn't want to leave anyone out.

I remember sitting in the car afterwards with Kerry, wondering what would be next. I really had no plans other than joining the Army and at that point I was still set on the Army Band, but would find out later I didn't make it. I recall thinking how weird it would be to leave and never come back to that school.

A year or so later I did go back though. Morsdon Lung was no longer director, thanks, in part by me (Again, another story) and I spoke to Mr. Williams' psychology class about my new career in the Army (with my Army BDUs on, how gay is that?)

In all, alot of memories and fun times were had at East Stroudsburg High School, but I was really glad it was over. I think I was more happy that I didn't have to get up in the morning and worry about being on time, and working on school work. The funniest part is that, as we all know, high school responsibilities don't even scratch the surface on life responsibilities.
