First day of High School  − 6 September, 1988

I had gone to the high school everyday for junior high band practice, so the school wasn't a complete shock, but the classes were and the lockers, instead of being huge like junior high, were tiny and barely usable. Being that I had already been to high school when I lived in Hellam, The shock didn't hit me too hard. However that didn't help me with the Seniors in band. They felt I should be scared of them and the high school experience. It is for that reason that I don't care for too many of the senior guys I met. All the senior girls thought I was a little cutie though and protected me.

Because of the protection order that was on my head from the senior girls, It wasn't until my sophmore year that I got hit at Band Camp, but that's another story here.

I'll never forget that one day during band practice, John Warnigarus said something stupid to me and I said, "Yeah? Your mom sucks dick like it's her job" and he yelled, "My mom is dead you little fucker!" It was the first time I was gotten by that joke, I felt bad and a few seconds later he said, "nah, I'm just fucking with ya" and everyone had a laugh at my expense. I thought differently of him a few years later when he kicked us out of Caeser's Palace.

Some highlights of freshman year were:

-Dating Kristi Delcoco the second time around, that was sparked by a band trip to D.C. (My friend Brian and I actually lived with her younger brother, John, after I got out of the Army).

-Flirting with the senior girls and telling all the senior boys to fuck off.

-Finally getting away from Dorian, the junior high school band director, and learning that Dorian was actually a pretty cool dude in Jazz band.

-Going to football games

Lots of cool experiences through high school and my freshman year was no exception.
