September 10th, 2007 will be remembered as the biggest Free Hug day this world has ever seen. Everybody get ready, this one is going to be HUGE. Invite everyone you can!!!!! Thank you!!!! The Reason for the date, September 10th is the day before 9/11. We will all sit down on that day and think about the tragedies that have befallen this world, we will think of the twin towers, of the iraq war, of the terrorist attacks all over the world. We will think to ourselves...what has this world come to? where has the good gone. That is why i created this event, so when you do ask yourself that, you think about all the hugs you had recieved the day before and you think to yourself that there is love left. i want people to be reminded that this world has a great amount of good left in it, and that it should never be forgotten. A beautiful story: Once a man was walking along a beach. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Off in the distance he could see a person going back and forth between the surf's edge and and the beach. Back and forth this person went. As the man approached he could see that there were hundreds of starfish stranded on the sand as the result of the natural action of the tide. The man was struck by the the apparent futility of the task. There were far too many starfish. Many of them were sure to perish. As he approached the person continued the task of picking up starfish one by one and throwing them into the surf. As he came up to the person he said, "You must be crazy. There are thousands of miles of beach covered with starfish. You can't possibly make a difference." The person looked at the man. He then stooped down and pick up one more starfish and threw it back into the ocean. He turned back to the man and said, "It sure made a difference for that one!" The reason it was started so early was to build a large amount of people. Do not worry. your facebooks will remind you when the time is near. Please Message me with further questions. This week we are looking for all additions and possible new inclusions to the QFS rule book before it goes to print. An amendment is a change to the constitution of a nation or a state. In jurisdictions with "rigid" or "entrenched" constitutions amendments require a special procedure different from that used for enacting ordinary laws. Please submit all requests to Chicka before Friday the 21st of September. All entries must be written in rule format form and will be subject to change without permission. Submissions will be closely scrutinized and ajudicated by the International Alliance of QFS trustees board and results will be printed in the first bound version.
