***Note*** This is NOT in only Madison, WI. You do this at whatever school/workplace you go to everyday. But if some people want to visit us, feel free to anyways.
Step 1: Read Below
Step 2: Join the group
Step 3: Invite all of your friends
Step 4: Sing on your way to class on April 9th.
Step 5: Be awesome.
ABOVE ALL, this group is just about being enthusiastic for just ONE DAY on what is normally painful. Will you sing? We hope so, it's not that hard. If there's enough people doing it, and you're with someone, it's not that embarassing.
But ABOVE ALL join the group that if you believe for just ONE DAY people should be happy on the way to class, instead of dreading it.
Purpose:
Ok, so maybe without giving our reasons to do this, less people will join, so we'll inform you.
It all started on November 12th, 2007. Chris and Corey were walking down the street, when Corey started singing. The two then began to note how the walk to class sucks, for almost everyone. There is usually no enthusiasm on the walk to class, which makes it even worse. So, they decided it would be great that if for one day, everyone was singing a song as they walked to class, to bring some enthusiasm to the streets. They chose the 2nd Wednesday of April. This way, the weather would be decent, and it would be in the middle of the week, hoping that the enthusiasm would bring you over the hump and into the rest of the week.
So sing, not just out of randomness, but to bring enthusiasm to what is the 2nd most dreadful part of our day (the class is obviously more dreadful then the walk).
Rules:
1) Sing to the best of your ability
2) You must be singing with at least one other person.
3) You can sing any song you feel like.
4) The song cannot contradict the day, time, or weather. (ie. Do not sing "I'm singing in the rain" if it is not raining.)
5) Get others to sing.
6) You must start singing as soon as possible (when you're with another), once you're outside of your residence, and continue until you reach the door of your class.
7) Be enthusiastic, no matter how you feel.
8) If you drive to class, play music loudly and sing. You can be alone for this if your music is loud enough.
As one last note to all this. I realize that many of us already sing on our way to class. So yeah, for one day for us to sing, it isn't too special. But for one day, for everyone to be singing, that's something special.
