I would like to take this opportunity to ask for your support. On February 23, I will be participating in the University of Connecticut’s annual HuskyTHON event. HuskyTHON is an 18 hour dance marathon in which students raise money for children whose lives have been affected by cancer and other illnesses. All money raised is donated to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. I have advised Dance Marathons at two different institutions, and I really think this is an organization where students really have a chance to succeed, but more importantly where they can really make a positive impact on their community. For just $10 you can help them surpass their fundraising goal, and help children who need the money they are raising to survive. A small donation will give assistance like you can never imagine. As a dancer, I am challenging myself to stand on my feet for the entire 18 hours. Your contribution will not only help the children at the hospital; it will also help keep me going when I get tired.
