Dear everyone, A business idea I've been working on with 2 of my friends has made it to the final round of a contest for young, female entrepreneurs. If we win, we receive $10,000 to help start our business, Surprise Industries. That's where you come in. I would very, very much appreciate your help in this last stage of the contest: the voting. All you have to do is go to http://www.bkfk.com/Modules/Ideation/myob_vote.aspx and vote for idea # 5 (Surprise Industries). If you can get anyone else to vote, that would be even better :) Voting begins today and goes through October 24th. You are allowed one vote per day, per computer. You don't need to sign up, and it only takes a second. About the business idea: Surprise Industries would be a web-based business with the mission of offering surprise experiences. Customers enter their zip codes, age, and the distance they are willing to travel and pay $20 to receive a randomly chosen experience in their area. The experience could be anything from a class in glassblowing to an engaging and challenging charity event such as repainting an elementary school. There will be no way for the customers to guess what their experience will be and whether it will be worth $5 or $100, but in any case, they will discover new places, people, activities, and maybe even a new life passion. We got the idea after coming across SomethingStore.com, a website that has been extremely successful in selling surprise items. Surprise Industries would work in the same way, only instead of useless stuff, we'd be selling challenges, adventures, or just something to do on a Saturday night. Thank you VERY much for you help!
